The Phoenix Fire Tile is specially designed for use in Live Fire Training buildings and simulators. The rugged design and composition of the refractory tiles allows them to be able to withstand the rigors of live fire training, whether it is a Class "A" or gas fueled fire.
The Phoenix Fire Tile incorporates a common refractory design of "ship lapping". This technique of ship lapping is common in the refractory industry and it is a specially design to provide an almost impenetrable barrier to the heat, flame and steam that is generated during live fire training. The Phoenix Fire tile has excellent thermal shock resistance, which allows it to easily absorb the huge temperature swings that normally occur during live fire training. This thermal shock resistance prevents the spalling of the concrete structure, normally associated with sudden large temperature swings.
The Phoenix Fire Tiles come in a variety of sizes to suit the different applications, whether it is a concrete or steel burn building or a containerized simulator. The refractory tile uses a "thru the tile" mounting system. This allows the tile to be easily installed over concrete or steel walls. The Phoenix Fire Tile is, without doubt, a superior thermal lining system to one using either Calcium Silicate boards or stainless steel.
